I guess an average attendance figure for each division (i.e. season and division as a whole) compared to the current day would be interesting.

Not shown, but total for the league: 9,144,676/ (21games*22teams)=19,793

A selection:
Man U - 40,594
Villa - 18171
Arse - 29,022
charlton - 9,012

Div 2 - 9,021
3 - 4,259
4 - 3,107

Thing that just struck me of the team photos, very few black faces - many squads had none. Reading 2: Cannoville & Richardson.

Top 30 goalscorers - all British/Irish

Where did Nantes finish?

wolsey What was Rochdale's best run in the season? won two on the trot folloed by a draw

What was Airdrieonians record buy, record sale up to season? not listed fro them, but they were the highest scorers in British football in 73/74 = 102 goals

Brechin's best crowd? Dunfermaline 2,750 (lowest 100 v Montrose) - although all crowds rounded to nearest 50/100.

Where did Nantes finish?
12th

Pretty sure the first game on a Sunday was in 1974 and involved Millwall and Fulham.....
Can't remember who but I think the first goal scored from a corner is attributed to a Scottish player in the 1920s.

Wasn't this also the season of the first automatic relegation to the Conference and weren't Lincoln the first team to be relegated following some canine shenanigans at Torquay on the final day (as I recall Torquay's 2-2 draw with Crewe on the last day sent Lincoln down but Torquay's equaliser came in the last minute of 5 minutes injury time added on by the ref after a player was bitten by a police dog).

And also wasn't it the season of Readings highest ever FL placing at that time (13th in division 2).
