I think Chelsea will win.

It looks to me like the week-in week-out run of huge pressure games is starting to catch up with Liverpool.

They won’t need to be far off their imperious best for Chelsea to take advantage.

In days gone by we wouldn't have had time to post on here on the Saturday morning of the game as we would all have been glued to the TV watching the build-up, waiting to see the team coaches arrive and excited at the prospect of the only game being played that day with of course the 3-00 kick-off after "Abide with me".

ITV used to do a Friday evening pundits discussion, Cloughie et al and my personal favourite was in 1974 when nearly all of the panel went for Newcastle ( with hot shot Malcolm MacDonald) to beat Liverpool.
On the day Liverpool won 3-0 and Newcastle hardly had a kick in one of the most one-sided of finals.

Today should be a competitive game between 2 sides that usually produce a close game but hopefully Mo Salah will rediscover his shooting boots and help Liverpool to the cup treble.

Indeed, I was telling my son about the olde FA Cup Final days myself this morning.

The excited nervous tremors as the build up gathered pace (even when you didn’t support either team).... good memories.

……and afterwards going up the park with your mates, all wanting to emulate the Ian Porterfield, Bobby Stokes or Roger Osborne goals.

Ron Manager It's a far cry from small boys in the park, jumpers for goalposts. Isn't it? Mmmmm. Marvellous.

What on earth is going on on the right hand side of Chelsea's defence? Fake Chalobah looks utterly lost and slow.

Why are Chelsea wearing yellow? Blue doesn't clash with red.

Sala looks likely to be at best doubtful for the remaining games and if VVD is out that could be a season changer

Every time I see Firmino he looks increasingly like a sex offender.
