Winston Biscuit Its about that time of year again
Leeds winning last night feels like it cements them as going up. Realistically only only one of Shef Utd or Burnley will join them in the auto spots. both utterly dull clubs so don't really care which, but I would LOL a bit if SU miss out due to their points deduction.
Leeds also have quite a nice set of fixtures.
3rd game from the end of the season is Burnley Vs Shef Utd

LUX Lolz at the number of draws Burnley have had. What is the record for a season? Edit, just checked, seems to be 23, they might not reach that.

Sanguine The Championship play-off picture is incredibly open. One of Burnley or Sheff Utd will be in, and joined by Sunderland. But below that there only seven points between West Brom in 5th (51) and QPR in 14th (44).
Middlesbrough (13th) are in freefall. They were sitting comfortably in the playoff spots but have lost their last five.

Just looking at the table today and West Brom in 5th have only won 13 of their 37 games only 1 more than 16th placed Swansea - they have drawn 17 times.
Seems crazy that 2 of the top 4 good potentially lose out on promotion to a side so far behind them - gap from Sunderland in 4th to WBA in 5th is 13 points.

See even the Serie B format wouldn't work in this instance, because the playoffs for teams in 3rd to 8th in that division are only cancelled if the gap between 3rd and 4th is too large. I think there is a league, I forget which one, with promotion play-offs where only those teams within x points of 3rd spot take part, which seems a good solution
