I hate Arsenal

by floyd__streete » 23 Feb 2008 14:52

William Gallas, heading off in a strop to go and boot an advertising hoarding, just sums up why I have grown to dislike this Arsenal team of pretentious and precious foreign mercenaries. Come on United, I hope that you win the title.

So, as a Reading supporter, you wanted Birmingham to get a draw then?

Anyway he stropped off because he knew that if he got anywhere near Clichy he would have clocked him one. I would suggest he was behaving very maturely - bursting with anger he walked away to where he couldn't do any harm.

Yeah, you're the sort who would get in a fight outside a pub because walking away to cool down and defuse the situation would be behaving like a cock.

Where did I say that then?

Yes, because kicking lumps out of an advertsing hoarding was mature behaviour wasn't it?

"I think this guy should never play football again. What's he doing on the pitch?" fumed Wenger.

"I've gone along with the idea for a long time that to stop Arsenal, you have to kick Arsenal. I knew that was coming for a long time now.

"The season is over for him and it's very, very bad. More than the season is over."

Wenger has a point, remember when Abou Diaby was taken out horrifically by the Sunderland kid.

I'm with you on this one.
I hate Arsenal for gifting Brum a point.

No-one can watch that tackle and seriously think it was malicious. It was very poor, late, and unfortunate, but nothing more.

As a professional and as captain, he should have been lining up his players on the penalty line awaiting a potential save from their own keeper, not booing like a child 50 yards down the pitch.

And that Arsene, is what happens when you fanny about for the last half hour rather than try and put the ten men away properly.

What does Wenger want? to act like continental football where every tap is a foul? some of these people need to see some lower league football to really see what English football is about. it doesn't exist anymore in the top flight but it still does in lower leagues. you don't' see refs blowing their whistle every time a player gets sneezed on. horrible tackles are unfortunate, so does terrorism, should we let our freedom go for the price of a few crazy muslims, oxf*rd no and oxf*rd arse terrorwengerism

Do you really think that Ferguson would have tolerated Gallas's little strop today?

No, me neither.....

Above the ball, mid shin height.

Even if I hadn't seen the aftermath photos I would have known that was only going to end one way.
It was a shocking challenge and he deserved the red card.
Did he mean to break his leg? Probably not, but that doesn't detract form the fact that he was nowhere near the ball.

Yes you are right.

Eduardo should have run it off like a good sunday leaguer would have done.

Poor, late and unfortunate - Taylor has lunged for the ball (distance between feet), arrived late (ball is a foot away) and unfortunately injured Eduardo.

Have you watched a clip - it's not like Taylor went charging in, it a tackle almost from standing, after Eduardo had knocked the ball ahead of himself.

I am not saying it was in any way a defendable challenge, but it was not malicious.

Getting a freeze frame isn't doing the tackle any justice, watch the clip and then judge, certainly not malicious.
