Craven Cottage is a good place to watch football. Gresty Road as well, have visited a couple of times and the staff/Crewe fans were all knowledgeable and nice people, don't see many of their sort in the Premiership.

Craven Cottage, Goodison Park - they're real football grounds. Sadly there' are too few left.

Best ever was Feethams, Darlington - walk past the cricket pitch getting in and then change ends at half time.

My favorites have been Selhurst Park and Craven Cottage.

Can't stand Selhurst Park. First went there in the days where the away end was on one side of the old Holmesdale End terrace and I got hit in the face by a brick thrown from the home section. Vowed never to go back there. At least we took 3 points away with us that day thanks to a Stuart Beavon 30 yarder.

Favourite ground? Hillsborough. Another classic old ground. Showing it's age but when the home fans find their voice, it can be really impressive.

In England, I always used to like Blackpool. It somehow avoided the grim & rugged look of other northern grounds, and it did help that I went there three times and we won 4-2, 4-0 and 2-0.


I think my favourite ground is in Germany though - FC Cologne. A modern ground that still looks like a proper ground, and in terms of atmosphere it did help that when I was there they won the German Div 2 title.

The giant axe eh? I've not actually been despite living in Lancaster for 3 years! I may have to go before the season ends.

Favourite Premiership grounds currently include White Hart Lane, Goodison Park, Villa Park, Craven Cottage. The 1st 3 have retained it's history whilst trying to modernise itself with modern day demands. Craven Cottage is an enjoyable away trip, plus we travel in good numbers.

Any other grounds where your made to feel unwelcome like Ninian Park & Molineux always have a special flavour to them whilst a trip to Gillingham is legendary status with me purely on the grounds of the Livingstone Arms, the greatest away day pub in history.

I haven't done too many grounds on the continent but I was mighty impressed with Gelsenkirchen, just a shame it's out of town but still accessible with his rail links.

Grounds I didn't visit that I wished I had include Maine Road and Roker Park.

Been there too a few years ago, just before they started the renovation for WC2006. It was a relegation battle between Koln and Hamburg SV. Mr Tony Yeboah scored a cracker and Koln lost 1-2. I loved it then ,but my mate who live in Koln says the rebuild has made it even better!!

Griffin Park has everything. 4 pubs within 50 yards of the ground, nearby train station, 500 people in the old away end (the covered terrace) can sound like 50,000.

Alsoo have a soft spot for the Abbey Stadium (Cambridge Utd), the only league ground where I've had to cross a stream to get to the away turnstiles.
