Schards#2 Wenger put together a team at a fraction of the cost of their main rivals, that has played the best football in the premiership this season. Even yesterday, Arsenal were much the better team for much of the game.
I see plenty of reasons to admire them and very few reasons to LOL at them. I suspect they will have the last LOL on Saturday when they tear Reading to pieces.

I May be wrong but I believe he is still their 2nd highest transfer behind Wiltord.
From what I can gather:
Wiltord £13M
Henry £10.5M
Reyes £10.2M
Eduardo £8.5M
The Reyes deal had further installments to pay but milestones were never met

Thaumagurist* If your definition of good football is stringing several passes together without getting anywhere, then yeah, you're right. Several times have I seen them do those pretty one touch passes and I thought well, at least they're still in possession but they're not actually hurting the opposition.

It is a fraction of the cost of their rivals, but some clubs have a bit more respect towards humanity and do not see the need of uprooting teenagers away from their families.

and you believe that United (Pique, as an example, for one) and Chelsea (I'll throw a Mikel into the mix) don't do that?

Agreed, uprooting Mikel from his Norwegien roots was a travesty.
