Did you really expect him to get into the squad after recent performances? And with the likes of Ashley Cole and Leighton Baines he doesn't really have a chance. Also Lescott can play and do a good job at left back.

We hope Lescott can do a job at LB. He was awful the only game I've seen him play there for England.

We really need some new top strikers to come through for the nation. Actually pretty much new players for virtually every position. We just arn't very good.

promising, but I'm not sure if either has what it takes to be a prolific primary striker. We seem to have quite a lot of decent players to play off a goal machine. But no goal machine.

Aye, played well in the U21s and most other options are probably already on the beach. Be good experience for the lad as I doubt he'll get on the pitch.

That's rubbish.

We have plenty of very good players who are more than capable of playing international football and are as good as or better than players who've won stuff at that level.

We do miss a bit more competition in the flair department, those players than can turn a game with a moment of magic, but that never stopped Greece or Denmark winning major tournaments.

We have some goalscorers coming through, they're just not players that fit into the current fad of playing 1 upfront (or 3 depending on how you view it).

If David Healy can be as prolific as he has been recently for N.Ireland then we've got plenty of forwards capable of getting a goal every other game at that level.

What we lack most is a system to play to...and if we do it is completely lost on the players that have recently tried to play it
