McClaren Goes Dutch

Looking like Steve McClaren will be back in football by the weekend as head coach at FC Twente in Holland by the weekend.

Thats a big swing from the statement made by the FC Twente chairman yesterday who said he was there just to watch a game and have a tour of the stadium

Fairplay to McClaren, I don't see many other British coaches putting themselves forward for management jobs on the continent. Good experience for him next season with FC Twente playing in the Champions League.

Interesting track record at club level, won the Carling Cup with Boro and took them to a UEFA Cup final but also played some boring dull football whilst spending a shit load of money on some not very good players (eg Massimo Maccarone).
