Sarah Star No. I take it all back. If the interviewer hadn't asked him about Liverpool signing Barry, he probably wouldn't have said anything. I hate being mislead like this.

Bit harsh, judging by their performances when they have played together for england, I'd say it could be a very successful partnership for Liverpool.winchester_royal If he was going to beg for someone to join, you'd have thought he would have found a better player to beg.

SHORT AND CURLY If Benitez or any other manager came out with those comments he would be hauled up before the FA!

Like who?
It would be nice for Liverpool, the self-proclaimed most successful club in English football, to at least have an English centre midfield.

Barry is not a world-class centre midfilder IMHO, if Liverpool are going to win anything next season, then they will have to do better than Gareth Barry

Harry Carry Whilst Barry is a fairly decent player, I think he's one of these fashionable players of the moment. We've seen it with the likes of Crouch, when he had a decent spell for England and club like Barry had this season. Ultimately they're a dissapointment and I feel the same will happen to Garry Barry.

Royal Rother Are they not old friends from school days? Rather sweet really.
