Bad decisions, but it's not as if the Italians have had their fair share...

2-0 to the Dutch.

I can see the Referee evening things up for the Italians in the second half.

Dutch are too fast at the moment.

Will be a very open game in the second half as the Italians will be chasing the game and from what we have seen of the Dutch going forward i wouldn't be suprised if we see more goals in the second half.

Sat next to an Italian at work, was asking him what the score would be (replied 1-0 to Italy) just as Van Nistelroy scored. Couldn't have timed the question any better. :). He's not a happy bunny!

Have to say the Dutch look the best team in the tournament so far. This is definitely the most entertaining match I've seen.

That's because it's the only entertaining match there's been.

Van Nistelrooy bottled it from close range

I think the lino has got that spot on.

The Italian defender on the floor is still an active defender even though he's both on the floor and off the pitch. I'm sure that if you leave the field without the consent of the ref you're considered to still be on it. I'm 100% certain that's the case with attacking players and so I'm 99% certain it's the same for defenders.

Best half of football I've seen in the tournament so far though.

rg6royal 1-0 Holland

What a complete cock-up from the linesman!

11.11 DEFENDER LEGALLY OFF THE FIELD OF PLAY
A defender who leaves the field during the course of play and does not immediately return must still be considered in determining where the second to last defender is for the purpose of judging which attackers are in an offside position. Such a defender is considered to be on the touch line or goal line closest to his or her off-field position. A defender who leaves the field with the referee's permission (and who thus requires the referee's permission to return) is not included in determining offside position.

It's not the end if the Italians lose this, from what I've seen they can beat France and they can do negative and sterile better than anyone and could pip Romania.
