England v Kazakhstan 11/10/08 KO:17.15

by SpaceCruiser » 10 Oct 2008 15:35

So, what do you guys reckon about this game tomorrow? Terry's out, who's gonna take his place? Upson or Lescott? Will this be an easy game? Who the hell are Kazakhstan anyway?

We'll win 3-0?

Xenophobe? Do I need to know everything about every single country in this world to avoid being called an ignorant xenophobe? Get over it.

Didn't say you did. However:

a) "Who the hell are Kazakhstan" implies a level of ignorance at best.

b) Ever heard of Google / wikipedia / other search engines? I'm sure you could find out "who the hell Kazakhstan" are using one of those.

Finally, I'm sure I'm not the only one on here that is becoming increasing bored of your narrow mindedness when it comes to anything outside of England. Perhaps it's you that needs to "get over it".

Or maybe it's your obsession with everything I write that makes you take things too seriously. I wasn't very serious when I wrote that question. I repeat: Get over it.

Upson
Yes
After gaining independence, they played their first match against Turkmenistan on June 1, 1992. The team was originally a member of AFC but switched to UEFA in 2002. They are currently ranked 131st in the FIFA world rankings.
Maybe, but I reckon 2-0.

Not obsessed, Spacey, merely bored of having to sift through your puerile anti-foreign rants. Sometimes, you actuially post some decent threads but all too often these are spoilt with your Alf Garnett-esque ramblings.

Anyhoo, back on topic and in response to your first four questions:

On paper it's an easy game but England have a tendency to struggle to put big scores past "lesser footballing nations". Either way, I'd rather see us win 2-0, create a lot of chance with their keeper having a blinder and Gerrard and Lampard finally putting in a decent performance in the centre of midfield than winning 5-0 but our centre midfield looking as solid as the current financial markets.

Would rather see Upson partner Rio but I think it'll be Lescott.

Monetary reasons or generally anti-the England team reasons?

I agree a lot with this.

Kazachstan - I met a fantastically fit girl on an airplane who was going to Kazachstan, in a roundabout way. We played tetris against each other then watched "Definitely, Maybe".

I never saw her again.

You should find her and marry her. Then you could re-tell the story to us, but have three women in the story and not tell us which one was the one you married until the end. It'll be great. :?

No, it'd be a waste of 2 hours of my time and some of the most excrutiating attempts to flirt you'd ever experienced.

I even let her win a game of tetris, the minx.

Upson or Lescott?

Not too much depth at Centre Half these days. Only a few years ago it was one of our strongest postions with Terry, Rio, Carragher and Cambell....
