He ought to Sunderland were utter turd today from what they showed on MOTD. Bolton really weren't that good despite the scoreline. Woeful defending. Like they didn't know how to play football.

He has spent 80 million and they look a shambles. He just seems to buy players without thinking if they will fit in together. Halford, Chopra, Diouf 10 million on that tosh.

I'll be more than happy to see them go down.

The only shame is that they've already equalled their last relegation points total. Looks like even if it is relegation, it won't be embarrassing relegation.

Oh I don;t know, blowing all that cash and still going down would be pretty embarassing.

He should have stuck with his team from last year - why blow all that cash on 'name' players when you already have a bunch who have done OK for you ?

Relegation with the amount he's spent and the number of players bought would be exceedingly embarrassing not to say utter humiliation for RK.

Not long term embarrassing like going down with less than 20 points.

And that's the point it is the club that gets the record remembered not the manager, other than with the fans of the club, the rest of us just laugh at the club, usually.

And how much a manager spends to get relegated is very rarely known widely in football at the time, let alone 2-3 seasons later.

So where are all those people who banged on about how great Keane is and how we should have spent 60 billion on players like Diouf?? They are facing the prospect of going down after two seasons.....God if I was a fan I would love to support a club who went down after spending a fortune!!I wish the Royals had done that

They're not down yet, I'd hold off on that line 'til things are a bit clearer.

Which is better for the fans?

Supporting a club that has spent close to £100 million accumulating a massive squad that seems set for its 2nd successive fight against relegation, or supporting a club whose entire squad cost around £7m and, perhaps as result of not spending more, found itself relegated?

A very true point, especially if you look at Sunderland's previous relegations.
