Sheffield United have suspended Paddy Kenny for failing a drugs test, BBC Radio Sheffield reports.
Kenny tested positive for a banned substance, ephedrine, following last season's Championship play-off semi-final second leg against Preston.
Ephedrine is believed to be present in a chicken balti pie that the Republic of Ireland international is understood to have stuffed down his gob before the game.
The 31-year-old goalkeeper could face a lengthy ban.
The club, the Football Association and UK Sport have so far refused to comment over the matter.

Barry the bird boggler Just goes to show how careful sportsmen and women need to be about taking medicines. Presumably though they all know that they should take any illness problems to their club doctors and physios rather than just nipping into a chemist.
