Who is the reading fan..

by FiNeRaIn » 27 Oct 2009 14:02

That is posting on the Hamburg forums on the rangers/ HSV debate? Nearly choaked on my lunch seeing a big Reading avatar flash up out of nowhere. How odd. Got to be weybridge surely?

Can't receive PM's on here unfortunately.

You can change the settings to receive PMs: User Control Panel - Board Preferences - receive pms="YES"

Unless you prefer not to receive them in the first place?

Their board crashed wiping some suer registrations and also older posts, but it was on http://forum.hsv.de//index.php?page=Index

I sent the guy a personal message but now can't log in. Can't work out what the problem is as its in board announcements and that section is german.

My guess is that it's Uwe Hartenberger and that he still holds a candle for his 'glory years' at Reading.

"HNA - i'm a member but I don't post - it's a bit of a clique really and I don't need the f*** off newbie intro..."

Sounds like a good bloke but that line sums it up for me, thats how a lot of neutral people feel about HNA and I don't know that to be the case on any other forums, certainly not the Rangers one I post on where pretty much anyone decent is accepted.

My brother sent me a text asking if it was me, but it's not.

Is there any reason for the HSV/RFC link other then the fact that HSV hate St Pauli and St Pauli have a link with Celtic who Rangers hate?

No hint to be got.

Whether you are working class, middle class, english, irish or scottish people get on well and most peoples points are accepted and there is good debate, both on football subjects and also general subjects.

This forum is full of middle class bigots like you who form their own cliques and generally abuse newbies when they join. While the geeks on here think direcing " fvck off newbie" at newly registered members is funny, genuine posters who might be new to posting on football forums don't, they don't understand it. Given the context its mildly retarded to see fully educated grown men wheeling off a phrase that was invented by teenage American kids playing world of warcraft.

Its all to do apparently from people who moved from Glasgow to Hamburg to work or something like that,,,

I had no idea about the St Pauli and Celtic link old boy until recently

To be fair I don't think the St Pauli/Celtic link is as strong as it once was, though afaik they still sell Celtic stuff in the St Pauli shop, and Ultra Sankt Pauli have a link with Green Brigade, but that link is no stronger then any other link USP has with for instance Herri Norte Taldea (Athletic Bilbao) or Schickeria (Bayern Munich)

I have heard something about this before, but like St Pauli (the poster), I hadn't thought it was all that strong. The fans of local team here, second division Greuther Fürth, generally claim that Celtic is their second team. Their logo looks like this ...

... and since St. Pauli came back up into the 2. Bundesliga, they have organised a 'Celtic Fan Convention' (or something similar) for the weekend Fürth play in Hamburg. I'm not sure if that's an ongoing thing though.
