Hull City Contrary to media speculation the club can confirm that Phil Brown has not been sacked and remains the manager of Hull City Football Club.

Their manager leaving is the least of their worries by all accounts.

1. Spend decades dreaming of top flight football.
2. Promotion, have a couple of good years clinging on to coatailes.
3. Financial Ruin.

A familiar story these days. Makes you wonder whats the point.

How many of the Reading fans so impressed by Hull's big spending approach (it showed a level of ambition we could only dream of) would rather have their impending financial nightmare to cope with than our own club's relative comfort.

And Portsmouth's....

Rumours apparently broke on Tuesday night that Brown and Duffen (the Chairman) had been removed from their positions with Adam Pearson, the current Derby Chairman going back to Hull.

Last night Pearson resigned from his position at Derby.

**EDIT** - It has now been confirmed that Duffen has resigned. Brown is holding a press conference at noon.

^ Brown's press conference today was brought forward 24 hours, said SSN last night. It was innitally just a pc about his team for the weekend, but felt the need to fast track it to put an end to 'speculation'.

Gone within the month - Rodgers replacement. :|

Not in this case. He has a shareholding, but the majority shareholder is Russell Bartlett.

The directors elect who will be their chairman - that needn't necessarily be the person with the most shares.

Ta

So doesn't that mean the directors will have to elect a new chairman - meaning this Derby man wont necessary get it!!?
