I saw Murty score last night!

by simpleroyal » 17 Nov 2009 16:41

Just a thuoght id let you know that Murty scored a 40 yard screamer for Southampton reserves last night, and i mean SCREAMER! :o :D I only live 5 minutes from there training ground so i thought i'd pop up and see how hw was doing.
He was making his come back from injury and looked fit, solid and 100% committed in every challenge, kind of wished he was still with us. He was also organising everything and talking non-stop, something we seriously lack at the moment.
Just thought some of you might be interested!

Similar feelings for when Parky left, it was the right thing to do at the time but something definitely went when Murty was shown the door.

I don't believe anyone 'bleeds Reading (insert other club here)' but he was a very strong link for the club to the community as Mr Madman likes to keep saying we are, and if you ever got the chance to meet him, a ruddy nice bloke.

Excellent player who Coppell and Rodgers have both had numerous attempts at trying to find a replacement for, and each have failed. Massively missed on and off the pitch and it's only really being seen now.

Last I heard he'd done his cruciate and was out for the season. Good to hear that the injury wasn't as serious as first thought.
