Same with Bournemouth. I live there at the mo, and the locals really have a huge chip on their shoulder. I always get grief when I tell them who I support.

Bournemouth really don't like us.
I think it is a case of envy because for many years they were on a par with us but at least for the past 10 years we have left them behind both on footballing terms and in ground size.
The sad thing for us is that we could well be playing them again next season as well as Swindon and possibly Aldershot.
This is where I came in over 50 years ago..

southstand67 Bournemouth are a bunch of pussies - charmy army indeed. I always remember Aldershot being our main rivals. I don't think Swindon, Oxford or even Brentford come close to that hatred.

St Pauli Aldershot also bizarrely have a rivalry with Exeter, and as i follow the Grecians a bit I saw them get beaten by the 'shots 3-2 in 2007. There support was pretty loud but in that kind of dull 'ultra' sort of way. .

Luckily they didn't have the balls to attack any in front of the two coppers on duty at the station.

ayjaydee I can recall back in the early 70's being rather gobby in the Southbank and a copper (Sgt Lee from Twyford)who knew and disliked me heard my disparaging chanting towards the Aldershot faithfully caught me by the scruff of the neck, marched me into the middle of them and made me repeat the chant saying next time he would leave me there.
