Shawcross tackle

by Zammo » 27 Feb 2010 21:06

50/50 in my opinion.

Wenger playing the victim again.

Shame about Ramsey. Hope he makes a full recovery. Looks a nasty injury.

Ideal I did not immediately think it was a bad tackle, not at all, in fact my first thought was that it should have been a Stoke free kick.

Just been listening to Talksport, and Cundy stated that it was almost if the Ref had to send him off as soon as he saw how bad the injury was :|

Well, it hasn't put Fab off him
Ryan Shawcross was driven out of the Britannia Stadium in tears by his mum following his red card shame against Arsenal - then learned he had been picked for England.

Nope. I won't be and will avoid MoTD. Very sad for Aaron Ramsey especially at such a young age.

The tackle might be shown on MOTD, but the scenes immediately afterwards won't. It's not like the Eduardo one where he was facing away from the main camera, Ramsey was showing his off in all its gory.

LOL at BBC News saying he was stretchered off with a suspected broken leg... did they all have their eyes shut or do they think leg bones are made of rubber?

Not too sure of what to make of it not seeing it again but it was obvious Shawcross didn't mean it and was in clear distress. Thought Campell was taking his abuse towards Shawcross a bit far.

And Bendtner, not letting him see how Ramsey was.

EDIT:Having seen it again I apologise, Bendtner only pushed Shawcross away because the medical team arrived.

Having seen it again, studs were not showing and if he has never had a red card before then it is obviously a complete accident and a freak injury which will happen in a game like football, especially in Ramsey's cases where his leg were fully planted.

Thought Wenger made typical over-reaction Wenger comments without seeing the incident.

Tackle was late, but laces first and stretching for the ball. Very unfortunate injury. Wenger makes himself look like a bit of an arse. Ffs Arsene, watch the video.

3rd Arsenal leg break in 4 years, try searching the Abou Diaby one on Youtube which was horrific at Sunderland. Unfortunate incident yes but you can understand where he is coming from.

Maybe they're not getting enough calcium in their diet?
