gazmandu2 Slightly off topic, but can anyone recall who the player was that Lita tripped over by bending down to tie his boot laces?

The Arsenal keeper, Jens Leheman? I think.

DeathyNorfolk Royal No way should we sell Lita for 500k. Surely we could get more than that for him. Also, Norwich haven't got a pot to piss in so he won't be going there.
Not when he's off on a free transfer in the summer we wont.
500k is superb business.

Row Z Royal Given that at a conservative estimate of £10k a week for the last 3 and a half years we've already already paid him £1.7m + bonus. And we paid a £1m for him.
We'd have to sell him for nigh on £3m to break even.
All this talk about profit in transfers is ridiculous.

Wasn't it S Hunt though, not Lita at all?

West Stand ManUpNorth A replacement is essential. Who can we get for a few quid??
Why do we need a replacement player to send out on loan? Surely we have enough players to generate a loan from within the current squad?
(if that is too confusing, my point is that it hardly essential to replace a player who isn't even really part of the regular squad.)

Thaumagurist* No, it definitely was Lita. Leheman had a bit of banter with Hunt, that was all.

If you reckon 500k is good business for a player who cost us more than a million then I'm glad I'm not in business with you.

Ian Royal A replacement is also essential, because we only have two strikers good enough to start at this level, with Long always failing to establish himself and Church and Mooney seemingly a way off yet.

That's not a replacement for Lita though, that's the need for a new striker to add to the ones we currently have that the manager wants in the squad.
As for it being good business, it doesn't matter how much we paid for him, it's what he's worth now that matters. I'd say £500k would be about right.

Sarah Star Is Mooney really way off, or just behind Long in the pecking order? I thought when we bought him it was seen as one striker too many.
