Alan Irvine "A lot of names being thrown up are totally unrealistic," he said.
"We can't pay the kind of wages that most clubs in the Championship can pay. In fact we can't afford the wages that some of the clubs in League One can pay.
"At the moment I don't have a budget. But I'm going to be having a meeting with the chairman to see what can be done, if anything.
"I don't expect I will be doing a great deal. That's just the nature of football at the moment. I don't expect there will be an awful lot of transfers, certainly not sizeable ones, this summer.
"And I don't think we will be able to do a great deal because everyone knows our money situation.
"Everyone knows that this club loses money each month, so it is very difficult for us to go out and buy players of the level that we need.
"We are obviously looking and we will continue to do that. But I honestly don't think there will be many changes."

W&E Royal I'd be very happy with that appointment, he could bring Paul McKenna and Sean St. Ledger with him.

I agree, employing a hypnotist and a horse has got to be worth a try.

handbags_harris Alan Irvine - absolute NOPE. There is NO way I would accept him as manager of RFC.

Steve T Alan Irvine played for Crystal Palace under Steve Coppell and Coppell is apparantly helping with the selection process.
