IMAMATEOFJOVSKY Time to get Nathan Tyson - even if it is for the £1.8m that we had grudgingly offered for Smith

Norfolk Royal That's ignoring the argument that Smith could have been secured several weeks ago before Pompey came in for him.

He should have been secured last night after he passed his medical late yesterday afternoon! The fact he wasn't suggests we were barttering with him.

We look an absolute joke!

Sounds more like he and his agent were aware Pompey were lining up a last minute bid so he stalled on signing the deal

Ups and Downs Has he really signed for Pompey? What a f*cking carry on! Don't blame the bloke to be honest, I'd have got a bit miffed of all the haggling and even a season in the top division is better than none.

its bullshit or we would have heard from the news agencies by now

SSN are unlikely to break it during their match coverage IMO. Radio are positive.

Tyson is a decent player with plenty of pace - something that we badly need - not sure how you can say that he's shite?? He's had his injuries but a fit Tyson would be a good acquisition.....hes still relatively young as well

Apparently due to arrive at Pompey to discuss terms, so not actually signed for them yet but it doesn't look good! If he was the no.1 target we should have matched the accepted bid from Sheff U and just signed him. Now we have next to no oxf*rd time to source a replacement. Good work all round from the board and management. Absolute shower and no mistake. And as for the football we've been served so far, well, all very pretty but utterly toothless.

That could be because the SSN reporter at Fratton Park said it had just been announced that a takeover deal by an un-named middle eastern businessman was imminent..as he also said, this has been muted before!!

Smith was due to be unveiled as a Royals player this afternoon - indeed, the Watford Observer understands a press conference had been called and the media were already assembled, only for officials to be left red faced when Smith failed to show.

Thats embarassing

Whole affair is embarassing!

We pull out of the move, and only because the fans turned on the chairman did we decided to match the fee, then we get Smith through a medical and over 24 hours passes and we still don't secure his signature!! Utter joke.

Tommy Smith wont make or break our season, but who the f**K do we look at now?

According to Dellor on the radio the press conference was arranged for 5.45

The club sent another email out later in the afternoon to say it was cancelled (when Smith said he was off to talk to Pompey) but most of the press didnt get it because they were already on their way
