Really? I seem to remember many a good comment about Reading Football Club when he was at Wycombe, and many since. However, I still wouldn't want him anywhere near the club.

Really? I seem to remember many a good comment about Reading Football Club when he was at Wycombe, and many since. However, I still wouldn't want him anywhere near the club.

Sanchez and his chairman used to slate us, although I think the chairman was the worst. His name escapes me, but I think it was Alan Parry.

A fantastic job at Wycombe? i dont recall them getting promoted when he was there? One cup run to the FA cup semi finals but on that basis why not go for John Duncan who got Chesterfield to the Cup semi final. He had one good spell with Northern Ireland and thats it. Had Fulham kept him for another week or two we could still be in the premier league!

At the time Pardew left, when Sanchez almost begged JM for the Reading job - and in pubic, too - there was definitely some bad blood between them.

Can't see it ever happening - and can't for a millisecond image why it would be worth doing, anyway!

There is bad blood, and not because Sanchez was begging for the job. Rather it was his arrogance at the interview, when he set his conditions for coming to do the job and demanded a salary well in excess of that which he was worth, told them what car he was going to get, and listed a load of other unrealistic demands that he might have expected from a PL club. I have it on good authority that he was summarily hoofed out of the interview and told that he wasn't what they needed.
