SPECULATION - Charlie Austin

Swindon Town striker Charlie Austin has handed in a transfer request, BBC Wiltshire understands.
The League One side confirmed last week that they had received enquiries about Austin from several Championship clubs.
The 21-year-old, who has scored 17 goals for the Robins this season, was reported to be disappointed that offers for him had been turned down.
Austin rose to prominence at Swindon after signing from non-league side Poole Town in October 2009.
In his first season at the County Ground he scored 20 goals and agreed a new two-and-a-half-year deal in February 2010.
He was part of the Swindon side that played in last season's League One play-off final at Wembley against Millwall - who are one of the clubs reported to be interested in signing him - which they lost 1-0.
Swindon Town and Austin have so far refused to comment on reports that he wants to move on.

Doesn't look very official. He isn't following any other Swindon players and he even tweeted a bbc article to show he handed in a transfer request.

A lot of tweets towards him suggest it isn't real, and i don't think anyone would tweet a link to saying they have handed in a transfer request when the club haven't confirmed it etc...

Could be wrong though...

I think that JF's tweets, get reading articles, interviews with McDermott etc has led me to believe that he has no more inside info than most of the posters on this forum.

The club will tell him what they want him to know, true or otherwise.

I don't believe RFC rumours unless they come from gazzer or icelandicstokie. They could post that we'd signed Mathias Sindelar and I'd believe it.

From going on what the Swindon Twitter page said a day or so ago Austin doesn't have a Twitter account. I can't wait for him to sign for whoever it is he's signing for so we can call it a day on all these bloody boring 'Austin to Reading' rumours! He WILL NOT sign for Reading Football Club. We cannot afford him. How I wish I am proved wrong.

@Official_STFC Charlie has been in this morning and confirmed that @Charlie32Austin is not him. He's not on Twitter and no plans to be!
