About 30 replies, half of whcih say "yeah right". Wow.

Try getting a story about Harper going to Everton into the Reading Chronicle in the pre-Twitter days, then you're laughing.

How the mighty fall!

* MATT MILLS is facing an uncertain future at Leicester after being frozen out by Nigel Pearson.

Defender Mills could be a shock casualty this summer less than 12 months after his £5m move from Reading.

The 25-year-old, who was named captain by former boss Sven Goran Eriksson, is not even in the 16-man squad for Thursday's game against Derby.

And Pearson could cash in on the centre-half after bringing in Wes Morgan from Nottingham Forest last month.

He made the bench on Saturday for the cup game, couldn't make it that far for tonight's game against Derby.

The interview with Nigel Pearson before the game said a lot.

Interviewer: why is Matt Mills not playing
Pearson: I haven't picked him
Interviewer: How did he take that
Pearson: Don't know I haven't spoken to him.

it's about time he came up against a manager that will knock him down a peg or two. his attitude and body language at times were disgusting, and he was always ready to blame anyone but himself. £5m for him is still ludicrous and the best bit of business we'll ever do imo. i'm glad we got shot of him.

Just seen the Pearson post-match interview......

He's not into stroking ego's is he.

Reporter : Made a big decision to leave out Matt Mills. In light of that how pleased were you with the defensive performance and the clean sheet ?
NP : I will pick the side which I think is the right side to win any game - simple as that, you know. That's the end of it.
Reporter : Was it purely on form ?
NP : I've just said I will pick players that I think are the best players for any given game - simple as that.
Reporter : He was you club captain, cost four point five million in the summer, is he now fourth choice centre half
NP : The relevant of how much he cost is for you to discuss, not for me to discuss. I'm not interested in individuals egos, I'm not interested in price tags, I'm interested in the group being winners
Reporter : Has there been an incident ?
NP : Errrm, not to my knowledge.

NP should be taken to task for not answering the first question about the defensive performance. Instead, he couldn't help himself talking about MM.

I'm not that bothered about Mills but I do still lol about Leicester fans declaring as FACT he was the best defender in the division and the perfect player to captain them to promotion and if anyone said anything to the contrary it was because they were a bitter Reading fan

Haha Matt Mills where are you in the league and where are Reading. I love it when players think they are something special.

Leicester City are everything Reading FC are trying to avoid.
