Wycombe Royal
Booseal No, not at all. I'm too long in the tooth to waste my time messing about. A respectable colleague of mine just got the message from a friend of his who was at the MadStad. I thought it was worth mentioning, that's all.

So I guess he means:

Still unlikely to be doing anything this early though...

He's only 19 though

More info: his name is Patrick and he's 24, so probably doesn't belong in this thread. Hammond was there too discussing the points per game bonus for the Prem.

Yep, must be true. We do all our contract negotiations in the hotel in full view and ear-shot of Joe Public.

tbf, he did say it was an employee that was the source.
Booseal According to a sourcewho works at the MadStad, "McDermott is now sitting with a young black chap, about 23 years old, and has a mohican". Read into this want you want!

But then he did mention that is was a friend who was at the MadStad.

Happy to snap all of these up. Would really help with our depth.

Clyne would be the only player I could see stepping into the first team, though.

What so you think we have better players than berty and zaha to make the starting 11?

Berty>>>>>>Harte

Crystal Palace have told Reading and Bolton they must pay the £5m fee up front if they want to sign highly-rated young winger Wilfried Zaha.

In terms of importance to the team (that exists currently) I think Harte’s delivery and set-pieces are more desirable than a faster fullback. I believe the gain from Harte’s skill is higher than the loss from his pace.

Kebe and McAnuff are better wingers also, so I don’t see Zaha walking into the side either.

in the championship maybe, not in the prem.

plus, if we buy someone with gr8 free kick delivery, his skills there are negated too

You will not buy a full back, or indeed a midfielder with better delivery.

I actually cannot think of anyone I would rather have standing over a set piece.

Aye, 'tis why I said what exists currently.

Though personally I think the pace thing is being exaggerated and is an overrated quality; how much of a step up it's really going to be is anyone's guess - he's certainly got a chance.
