Right Back Options...

by PistolPete » 16 Jul 2012 23:31

If, like me, you are sad/stupid/bored/ enough to read the (newly named) "Rumours and Gossip" section you will find us linked with 4 or more right backs. Of course the ITK guys have told us unequivocally that each of them will be signing which would mean 5 right backs. However, seeing as we are only likely to sign one, and you the nobber are the second greatest judge of a player in the world (after Brian of course), which player would be our best bet for right back this season?

We've been told that BM wants 2 players for every position and currently Cummings is deputised by Gunnarsson, Karacan, Mariappa and I suppose, Hector. But it does seem likely that our next signing will be a right back.

Please feel free to move this to R&G, General Football or 'Hall of Fame' if this is the wrong board...

Tbh I'd be happy with either Naughton/Simpson/Gunter the RB rumors are getting quite boring now

1.simpson, gunter, naughton, or clyne would all be solid choices for rb. clyne, and gunter would be ones for the future who could also play now who would triple in value. simpson would give us good value for now who we probably wouldnt be able to sell at a higher price later. simpson has prem experience already too so thats a major plus, even though we dont look at players specifically for prem. experience.
