I started a thread on this guy about a month ago and it got moderator-ised, so this latest info means either

a) I am a genuine ITK type person and didn't even know it myself!

or

b) The moderators hate me

TheSiege I do not speak with any particular knowledge of this but, Some Africans do have names that appear humerous to us but that does not make them cr*p footballers! Should Yaya Banana change hands for 30m in four years time, who's going to look stupid? On the other hand, if the banana boy was a wind-up from the start, maybe I'm the one looking stupid! Can anyone supply his club, his stats and his details? Furthermore, I do not wish to hear that there are a BUNCH of players like him just waiting to be noticed!

Try this...

Edited to add...

In addition have a look at this dude - not a football player but was the president of Zimbabwe before he was ousted by Mugabe, I admit I remember him for his name not his political status and the fact he was accused and found guilty of dipping his personal banana...cough..see 'Sodomy'

This sounds a Reading type of signing. I'm looking forward to the 'Banana Day' at the end of the season supported by STAR where all Reading fans are encouraged to bring inflatable bananas and real ones to chuck onto the pitch in full support of Reading's new starlet. Monkey noises are optional for real comedy value.
