Loan - John Guidetti

by Jano » 29 Jan 2013 11:24

Reports coming out we've asked to take him on loan. Apparently prolific, could potentially be a superb signing till the end of the season?

It's on Vital Reading. I'd love this to happen.

Reading make loan bid for City striker
Vital Reading understands that Reading have made a loan bid for Manchester City's John Guidetti.

The Swedish international was watched by officials from Reading in their under 21 encounter with City two weeks ago, where the forward scored in City's 3-1 victory. A loan bid has been made for Guidetti, with Jason Roberts struggling for fitness and Simon Church surplus to requirements at the Madejski Stadium.

Guidetti spent last season on loan at Dutch top division side Feyenoord, where he scored a very impressive 20 goals in 23 appearances. The 20-year old is very renowned at Manchester City, despite only making one appearance for the club in the League Cup.

Would love for this to happen. Guidetti, Ince and Davies would be the end to a very good transfer window.

Points to his name after he scores. I'm out.

Would be an awesome signing if we could get him. Big strong and powerful and would put aside all worries of losing our physical side up front if we lost Pog. I know we still have Roberts but unfortunately I don't think he will be enough if Pog does get injured for any length of time. We simply cannot take that chance.

My only worry about this though is that he could be featuring more in City's team if Mario Ballotelli does indeed leave for Milan/Juve. His goalscoring record from last season shows that he is more than capable for them if called upon.

Would love for this to happen, he is very strong on the ball and has a good eye for goal, also wants to impress to make the City first team. I have read though he is very unfit following an illness and his agent reckons he is six weeks away from match fitness.
