Brighton's pretensions looks pretty silly in view of the boldness showed in this discussion in March

Is there actually anything to these rumours?

Who do Brighton fans think are going to win the league?

One things for sure, they don't think its Brighton. Jealousy is an ugly emotion.

We are increasingly looking like good value TBF with AZ buying exciting players and a proven manager, our future looks brighter than theirs...

It does make me chuckle that some Brighton fans judge their size on home attendances. The Amex holds 30k, the Madjeski holds 24k. Both sides had home games which were sold out this year, could we fill an extra 5k? Possibly, but unfortunately adding capacity to our stadium is a significantly bigger project than "filling in the corners"...

I'm relishing the prospect of this season, and I am optimistic that within the next few years there's every chance that our highest attendances will be 5k or more bigger than those of BHA

Are we Brighton's main rivals? Some of their more deluded fans appear to think so, but surely the fake hoops, if only because of geography and their insistence on wearing hoops, (how very dare they?), are more suitable candidates. Watford are also in the mix, come to that.

Leaving aside geography, Leeds anyone?

No Crystal Palace are Brighton's great rivals but now they have moved on up, BHA are looking for new rivals I guess.

Brighton and Crystal Palace have quite a nasty rivalry. Brighton fans have exactly the same arguments with Palace fans about the relative size of the 2 clubs and Palace tend to come out on top in that one as well.

I wonder if Grimsby will be the same over this Collins kid we've nicked....

HHistorically bigger than us, but that doesn't seem to help them. Or Luton.

Historically means very little now though. We've been a bigger club than Grimsby for the best part of 20 years now. That's a whole generation of supporter and footballer. Sadly for them we are now worlds apart.

Try telling that to Dirty Leeds, MASSIVE Wednesday or the Brighton boys.

Sorry, I don't think I've heard of Leeds before. Ohhhhh, yes sorry. Second biggest club in West Yorkshire.

Those Brighton fans are jealous little twerps. That said they all write like 16 year old kids sat round in a common room! They cannot even spell Ivar's name!

I wonder if we play them and the queenie festival is on, if they will have a full house now
