Would love that to be true. Did I read in the week that Sharp is available? £1.5m might do it and that would be a cracking bit of business too.

It coincides with what Saints fans are saying tonight. Two rumours about Sharp to Reading now.

I heard today that our Billy is off to Reading. Fee agreed and supposed to be in Reading on Monday for talks, probably medical too. Sad to see him go. I felt he should have got more of a chance last season.

Obviously Saints fans don't think football clubs negotiate at weekends. It's strictly 9-5, Mon-Fri. It'd be good if true but I'll wait until someone like gaz confirms anything.

FAO fellow Forest fans:
We have had a fee agreed for Billy Sharp but he apparently rejected out first contract last week. Reading and Leicester have also had offers accepted and he is supposed to be in talks with Reading now and I'm told wants to stay South. The way Reading are throwing money about I think we might just have lost out here.
We're not trying to get Doyle in from Wolves.
Source: Same chap that told me about Lewis McGugan going to Watford.

Forest fan living in Reading. My work had a conference at the Madejski Millenium Hotel yesterday and when we left at 4pm I'm 99% sure I saw Billy Sharp sat with two suits.
If that was him then I can only hope we (Forest) put together a better offer because we need him next season if we want to get a top six finish!

It would be a good signing. If that Noel Gallagher bloke who some claim is reliable is right then it sounds like it's almost done. Pav will be off soon then!

Decent squad player. Still need a top striker IMO. Somebody that can play upfront on their own, especially if POG leaves

That's if we don't play 4-4-2 which Adkins used when Southampton were in the Championship. I still agree we need one more though because Pog is almost certainly off, so a target man is essential.

His last 4 seasons in the Championship:
15 goals in 33 games
15 goals in 29 games
19 goals in 35 games
10 goals in 30 games
Considering 40 of those goals came playing for a struggling Doncaster team, I think it's safe to say that at this level he is far more than just a 'decent' squad player.
