SPACULATION - Chris Wood

by FridaysGhost » 19 Jul 2013 21:42

Along with Kris Boyd, this is another striker who we might look at, indeed, he's been connected to us on lesser sites already. He is young but seems to have been around for ages. He is a NewZealander, with the singlemindedness that we know from them and he has been getting better and better - despite sometimes being used as a bit-player. Thoughts please?

I think you should put all this idle spaculation in one thread.

We need a new striker who will do very well in the Champ. The Rhodes, Austins etc. cost money and we don't seem to want to pay. You find a 20-goal a season striker (potentially) that we can buy. Then be stupid about this thread.

Don't be silly we may as well bring Church back! If we cannot
Buy a decent striker i would rather wait and stick to what we have. Signing for the sake of it no
thanks. Get quality impact players in or leave it.

Agreed, keep new threads to rumours with some substance

Why do we HAVE to pay millions. Buying someone for a lot of money doesn't guarantee anything. Remember we got Doyle for £75k, Kitson for £150k, Le Fondre for £350k and they were all pretty good Championship strikers!

Agree with Platypuss, bored of all the threads saying "if the club are really as ambitious as they say, we have to buy X" This section of the site should be limited to genuine rumours.

But then the Team Board would be cluttered up with spaculation, so this is the right place for it.

We just don't need a separate thread for each and every "wouldn't it be good if we bought Player X".

Chris Wood would be an excellent signing although I think there is no chance of him leaving Leicester.

This rumour has popped up again in the sun. Reading, wolves and Derby interested in a loan until the end of the season. I'd happily take him, he's better and younger than Murray.
