I wasn't so keen initially but I'd have him back as well. He'd be an improvement on Pog, who looks disinterested and can't get away quick enough. Doyle can hold the ball up, and is useful with his noggin. I wouldn't want to see us pay any more than £1m though. Doyle has said in the past that he doesn't believe in going back to a former club, so I think Celtic is his most likely destination.

They're very close as it happens, as are Long and McD.

Yeah they hate each other in fact that's probably the reason why Doyle invited McD to his Wedding.

He is no longer training with the Wolves first team.....

Would he be worth a punt?

Celtic have upped their 500k bid to 750k, and I guess he was out of form for Wolves.. but still..we need a striker.

If we continue to play 1 up front - then yes

Strikers seem to be at a bit of a premium in our division at the moment. If we could get him i think we should. Nailed on for Celtic though IMO

Interesting article on him here - didn't realise he's not even getting a game in League 1 these days!

I'm with Pepe on this one. Quality player, gr8 attitude, and a fresh start away from that poisonous club could bring him back to life.

We desperately need somebody slow and lightweight to stand out on the wing aimlessly losing the ball instantly and not looking like scoring for six months at a time. Get Kevin Doyle back.
