Royalclapper They are however surprisingly adept at telling EU citizens how to weigh their fruit and veg, how not to be rude to the fellow Euro Area family and are genuinely ingenious at inventing ways of pissing away tax money from their Brussels Bunker. Chocolate, Beer and Poirot are acceptable exports though.

To be fair, just because it takes place in Brussels doesn't mean it's the Belgians that are grinding your gears.
Didn't they allow wonky fruit about 5 years ago? I think the reason you don't see wonky fruit in the supermarket is because the British public is scared of it, not because of Brussels.

Unlikely seen as the management are split over him, I heard he trained well today but they are not sure whether or not he is too similar to Le Fondre in the system we play. Im told his agent was in yesterday but no deal was done. More than likely be next week now

I watched all his goals on You-Tube and he didn't look remotely in the ALF mode.

Bit surprised if what you say is true. More a powerhouse than a sniffer

I think what my source was trying to say was that if we are going to play 1 up front we need someone completely different to le fondre, I.e. a genuine target man. They are unsure whether or not he can do a job different to alf or dare I say it (gulp) blackman. That's how I understand it, I could be wrong. There has definitely been no deal done though

According to The Sun, sure. However, In the real world operating at average human IQ and above, they are just paedophile nazi liars. Oh and my parents, as far as Pepe is concerned.

It seems that Akpala is back and trains in Bremen. https://twitter.com/tobihb/status/371190301039558656

I watched your game against Dortmund last night. Didn't know that Werder had Di Santo from Wigan, in fact, that was the closest you came to scoring when the Dortmund keeper made a good save in the 2nd half. Dortmund are a good team though, Hummels, Reus and Lewandowski are 3 of the best players in the Bundesliga aren't they, certainly outside of Bavaria Munich's team. Mkhitaryan looks expensive at £21m.

Yes, Dortmund's extraordinary strong, their biggest skill is the so-called "Gegenpressing", which means to put collectively up the pressure on the ball the second they lose it, to get it back immediately. Klopp perfectionated this style over the last years, which egalises lower individual skills by collective work, and Bayern kind of copied it after Dortmund won two times the Bundesliga.
Di Santo gave a nice impression, since he's just here for a week, even if we wouldn't have deserved it, it would have been a oxf*rd blast to steal a point through his effort there. We could have received more goals against us, but I loved the fight and spirit Werder showed last evening. Dortmund's completely out of our range and will be for shure in competition about the title this year again, especially since the football the Bayern play seems less dominant than with Heynckes, but they still got the best squad in BL.

So it sounds like we'll take him if we fail with other targets then.

Today we sent our young gun-striker Füllkrug, who was supposed to have a place in the 18-player-squad instead of Akpala, to a one-year lending to Greuter Fürth. I'd say, this doesn't increase the chances of an Akpala-deal and perhaps our managements know more, than they say. If we'd give away Akpala, too, we'd slowly begin to have a lack of strikers.

Edit: There'll be further talks between the clubs next monday. Local press according to our manager.

No. He's under contract but can leave, or that was the case before he came on trial. I wonder how true this could be.. it certainly sounds us.

Joseph Akpala has returned to Werder Bremen after his trial at Reading. Reading HAVE, from a very trustworthy source, offered the striker a 3-year deal, and the striker has accepted the terms. The hold up however is Bremen wanting more than what Reading are prepared to offer.

Yes, we've been here before. Same story as last summer with Rhodes and Zaha, and that worked out well.

Is this a quote? If so, it's an interesting one. May I ask, what the source is? I mean, yours, not the mentioned trustworthy one.

More than likely a made up rumour from someone on their school holidays.

www.readingrumours.co.uk not the most reliable of websites, although the rumour itself does sound likely.
