Royal Rother I absolutely DETEST the SSN Deadline Day hype. All these reporters stuck outside clubs' offices hyping up non-stories with gurning twats in the background... puke.

Just watched 10 mins out of fascination as I figured it couldn't have got any worse than last year.

They were interviewing some Spanish fans about the Bale signing earlier and they managed to behave like human beings so why can't English fans?

blueroyals :|

TBF I doubt they would still be around if we weren't trying to do deals

At the end of the day I'd rather we accept defeat and keep the £5m for Jan than panic buy random players

I guess we will just have to see who we draw in round 3 of the FA Cup and then we can buy their best player (assuming we draw a League 1 or 2 side of course). However, ifwe draw a big club we are screwed.

Russian Premier League
RUSSIAN UPDATE
European football writer Andy Brassell: "The Russian Premier League window has shut. Sport-Express - who have, it has to be said, covered it quite brilliantly - report that Zenit *do* still have a club rep in there, but that we're not expected to find out until morning which deals have made it over the line.

"So Spartak and CSKA fans face a wait to to see if Serdar Tasci and Vitinho (respectively) were registered in time. The good news? Minor adjustments to the documents are allowed if you're in the Premier League office by the cut-off time. Like when a shop closes its doors at 1700 here - once you're in, you still get served."

From Bbc.. Does this mean Pogs ours for good, all ours and nobody else's <3

Mmm looks like it, so we are stuck paying him huge wages for another six years, or is it four, whatever, but it is a huge drain on our limited resources and he doesn't appear keen to play and is no doubt preventing us from buying others in. It was a stupid contract to create.

It is getting late.. looks like if we are going to sign anyone it will be a loan signing. When next week does the loan window open? Wish the club would come out and say 'Our business it done'. At least that would put us out of our misery.

I am worried... KG as our number three CB is not good enough.. plus we are still unable to create enough going forward... and if ALF got injured not sure we have a finisher...

If we do not add anyone (including loanees) doubt we will finish in the top 6.

And that's exactly why Anton can't expect promotion this season. They've blown it.

Cannot see us getting in any really god loan deals. Most PL clubs have already reduced their squad numbers and so the only players available are likely to be up and coming youngsters and we have plenty of our own. What is the point of brining in a 20 year old PL striker - we might as well give Ugwu a chance.

Most PL clubs have already loaned out their decent players anyway. What's left is the shite nobody wants.

Not disastrous, but don't come out all like "Yeah, so, how d'you fancy EIGHT FACKING PLAYERS WE'RE GONNA WIN THE LEAGUE NAAAA NA" then jerk off half way through.. The hopes the killer!

genome Looking forward to the damp squib that this day usually is for RFC. It is entertaining watching the over-excited pcunts on Sky Sports News with their massive iPads though. Bring on the car window.

Didn't see a single car window, though. Suppose you can't get them all right.
