He also mentioned an Ipswich player and possibly a United player. Guess we'll see. If true then there's 5-6 coming in.

I honestly can't say I've ever noticed Dean Hammond. What sort of player is he? Would've liked to see us go in for Andy King being a local lad n all.

Pepe the Horseman I honestly can't say I've ever noticed Dean Hammond. What sort of player is he? Would've liked to see us go in for Andy King being a local lad n all.
Probably quite similar to Chris Baird, though hopefully a better version. Puts himself about in midfield, reads the game well defensively, and is capable of getting forward and scoring the odd wondergoal. Keeps the game ticking over, would be a very useful addition when you consider his experience and leadership skills.

He didn't say who or what he was joining.
I remember him being sent off against us in the 1-1 draw with Southampton.

You may be right as I noticed his name included amongst a list of old players possibly turning out for Royston against a Hereford Fans XI on the morning of August 23rd. Another name from the past, Ricky George, is managing the Hereford side apparently.

He says in today's EP that Reading are expected to move attention to Hammond after signing Ferdinand and Mackie, so next week for this one perhaps.
