Exactly what I was thinking, I think it's bcos everyone is so desperate for us to sign a player.

Personally I would like us to have a tough tackling, no nonsense DM in front of back four a bit like Leigertwood. No idea if Hammond can fulfil that role however.

And yet they'll treat them as promises, expecting three or four big deals and then whine like they've been lied to if it doesn't come off, or the players don't meet their expectations.

And if Adkins said nothing they'd complain too.

I think Adkins missed a trick by not caveating his statement "But as we all know nothing is guaranteed and all transfers have twists and turns"

I have a feeling it'll be dull once again for us today.

Personally, I would like to see us bring in a striker with pace, a more experienced loanee CM to cover in the absence of Williams/Guthrie/Karacan, and a controlling CB to run the back line.

If only Williams/Guthrie/Karacan were all fit and we could try to offload Akpan elsewhere, so out of depth in the Championship.

Its quite obvious, the club and the new owners just don't have the money. If they did it wouldn't be difficult to strengthen in one or two areas. I mean, we have made £5m+ on McCarthy and Morrison.

Quite partial to a mcdonalds milkshake myself, at least then you don't have the palava of having half a cup of ice if you forget to ask them to take it out.
