PistolPete I specifically didn't call him a racist, I said that he was a casual racist - admittedly the two are similar but from someone who has spent many years living abroad (including Moscow right now) I'm very aware of the dangers of both racism,casual racism and general prejudice.
Whatever way you look at it, you cannot throw 'Russian' (or black/jewish/ginger/fat...) to a sentence if the thrust of the sentence is character assassinating. What part of that do you not get? I guess it shows how deep rooted the problems are for majority caucasians when they cannot see the problem...
And yet when Murray fails to win Wimbledon I'll still call him a useless Scot.
