Speculation: Nathaniel Chalobah

by sloughroyal123 » 18 Mar 2016 08:19

Would love to have him back, wouldn't be surprised if he left Chelsea this season or the next considering he's being carted out on loan every year and isn't getting a sniff at the first team. Currently on loan at Napoli so he may not want to take the step down, also may be out of our price range. Thoughts?

He was Clarke's man and, by the looks of it, thought he was above us last season which led to his inconsistent displays and often disinterested style.

I'd rather watch Tshibola and Norwood anchor our midfield than be the next step in Chalobah's unfulfilled career.

Would be delighted to have him back.

But, he is just another of Chelseas serial loanees.....they will hold onto him for a bit longer, loaning him out until (like Bertrand and Ake) he is sold to a mediocre-to-middling Premier team.....it's in the script!

I thought he was pretty average, only looked good because the rest of the team were fcuking abysmal (as with Mackie)

No thanks

If he's available - then I'm sure he'll be of interest to Burnley or Boro.

Saw him playing for the U21's last night. Nothing special, except one good pass which led to an England goal.

Oh to be a mediocre to middling premier team.

Do you not feel that having been at Burnley when they were a (less than) mediocre Prem team and not succeeding, that perhaps the Championship would be more suitable in this case.

I always rated him when he was here, given the dross side he was playing in.

Why not wait a season or two until we are that mediocre-to-middling Premier team.
