I'd play with passion and effort but pretty sure I ain't playing any time soon. To me Williams is a slightly upmarket Andy Hughes, all effort no end product with the odd decent goal as redemption.

Agreed. Not really a team player, runs into cul-de-sacs too often, loses the ball and cries foul. His other "trick" is to run crossfield for thirty metres then pass to the person he could have passed to anyway.

Think he could have been an excellent player if the right manager had given him a severe jolt. I won't miss him.

Reading have opened talks with Daniel on a new deal. Guess there are 3 options

1. He'll be happy to re-sign but with a cheapo release clause written in
2. He'll let his contract run down and take his chance in the summer
3. Negotiations will quickly stall and the club will look to cut their losses in January if there is any interest
