he has scored 1 for Derby I believe- against us obviously

He was never an 8mill player much as I admired his effort here - and will fall further down the queue at Derby now that Nugent has gone there.

Mind you when it looks like Brentford will get 15m for a player who has had 2 serious knee injuries and basically one good season at Championship level, it is difficult to say what constitutes a reasonable fee nowadays

Just looked at soccerbase and he's got 2 goals in 12(8) in the league for Derby so looks to be exactly the same track as he was on for Reading (3 goals in 24(7) league apps) which is roughly 1 every 10 games

Much better in the cup of course with 6 goals in 3(2) appearances

Anyone care to guess when his 3rd goal this season will arrive...

John Smith
Mike Hunt Fukcing hell, Brentford are taking the piss

Say what you want about Vydra, but he has done a hell of a lot more than Hogan in this league...

Ok well allow me to kick things off: he's had one good season at a club he couldn't stabilise a first team position at once in the Prem, proven to be a fraud by the numerous opportunities he's had at other clubs, not least ours by sapping our transfer and wage bill only to squander even more opportunities in front of goal. The guy is like a poor man's Michu. He needs to retire.

Anyone like to continue?

2 good seasons at Watford. Very good seasons you could say.

Not likely when the taxpayer pays more for them to use their stadium than they do.

Hogan himself apparently takes 5% of the transfer fee

sounds like a done deal. Hasn't worked out as he'd hoped there - no doubt getting a healthy wage and all that, but clearly had sights set on the Prem, not some mid table basket case Champ club
