Agents and fees around £1,000,000 (10% of the total package)
Add ons for goals scored and promotion £1,000,000
Players fee £5,600,000

The total deal could add up to £10m

£5.6m for Wells is about the going rate and yes, I do believe to get him to come here it would take a 4yr contract at 50k a week.

This is hilarious. Their wage structure was lower than ours and the deal he turned down a year ago would have made him their highest paid player. As it stands he isn't on twenty. Could even be under fifteen a week. Why would we bump him up over two and a half times that much?

Wells has already signed, Aluko has a bit to go and we're hopeful on getting Thelander across the line before Saturday as well, but that one is looking less likely.

Really hope this one gets done. It's no secret we're linked with him pretty much every window and seems likely the club have held a long term interest.

Can only see us paying up to about £6mil though and for that reason I wonder if it may drag out which, frankly, is the last thing we need. It's clear Jaap and BT have highlighted the need for a Championship proven striker and we need one in ASAP
