Little wonder Swansea fans are angry with their owners. They have sold Mawson, Fernandez, Clucas, Fabianski, Amat, Mesa, pensioned off Britton and Rangel, let Ki go, loaned out both Ayew brothers and only have one senior centre back at the club. They have spent peanuts on new signings. Can’t see them doing much this season despite an apparent good start.

As for Dyer. No thanks. We already have Barrow, Aluko, Popa, Meite,McCleary and Harriott. Yes I know most are injured but in a few weeks we could have five of these players fit.

Dyer would be a quality player

I can’t see Popa and Harriott playing too much tbh - too injury prone and prob lost their chance when they missed most of pre season

McCleary has been injured for the best part of 18 months and Aluko isn’t very good

Realistically we only have Barrow and Meite as decent options

Dyer is 30.

Believe he’s also primarily a right sided player so would be in contention with Aluko (not exactly setting the world slight), Popa (not match fit), Meite (can also play a central role well) and McCleary (sadly looking to be the next Stephen Quinn)

Also believe he’s got a PL winners medal as was on loan to Leicester when they pulled off that miracle.

I suggested Dyer a couple of weeks ago on here.
He is so much better than what we have apart from Barrow and I would be delighted if we got him and went with two quick wide players.
He is also better than any that we have in terms of tracking back and for a little 'un he is not afraid to tackle .
So, yes please, an addition that would improve what is a poor squad.

He's got the right name to fit straight in with our club at the moment......all be it a different spelling!

Can't help but feel he's the sort of panic signing we regret making regularly.

Our recent loan record of experienced players is pretty fecking terrible.
Vydra, Grabban, I'm sure there are other examples. Have any worked?

Glenn Murray did ok

Grabban wasn’t awful. Helped us get to the play off final. Not as good as hoped but did a job

Martin was atrocious last year.

Wouldn’t class it as a panic signing. Clement obvs knows him well and we very clearly need back up for Barrow, if not starting opposite him

Grabban was never played to his full potential...mispositioned and misplaced on the bench too often....our loss and another ”could’ve been”

Just trawling through my old Fergal Sharkey records to see if there’s any suitable songs that could be sung for Dyer if he signs....

Yep Murray was good. I think Grabban was terrible, if misused. I'd blanked Martin out of my memory he was that shit.
