I don’t think this will happen.

Don't think anyone is expecting him to come back to be honest

I suspect that Gylfi will end up at Hibs in Scotland.
Brian McDermott is now Director of Football at Hibs, and I believe Gyli used to lodge with the McDermott family when he first came to England.

That might be the best option for Gylfi, He, or his recent history. may not be so well known up there, so he could keep under the radar of the media, with a bit of luck, and just concentrate on playing football.

Wherever he ends up, let’s hope his football goes forth before him.

(Unless its oxf*rd or Portsmouth)

This is true, as they don't have the internet in Scotland.

The court of public opinion will deem almost any high-profile player that gets an accusation like this thrown at them, to be guilty. From there, regardless of the outcome of an investigation, it's a very difficult path to playing normally again.

Without knowing any of the facts of Gylfi's case, it is impossible to make a moral judgement on whether we should sign him, or any other club for that matter.

Realistically speaking though, even if it becomes clear that an accusation was made purely maliciously, any club he goes to will face a backlash which will then feed into the atmosphere at every game and the potential for trouble that comes with that.

On ability I'd have him every day of the week but with everything else that would come with it, it's not something I think we should pursue.

Looks like he'll be joining D.C. United.

The reason Gylfie and Greenwood got off was they paid off the accusers something you can do when your a millionaire footballer.
