Considering he said he wouldn't mind moving abroad I'm not sure moving a couple of hundred miles south would upset him too much.

Michael owen. One of only a handful english players to win the ballon d'or. One of englands highest ever goal scorers. The player that only 18 months ago netted a hat-trick in the champions league.

This man is class, he maybe a little leggy nowadays and have a few injuries, but even if we have him for 10 games im sure he would pretty sensational for those games. And come on?? if i said to you in 2006 that Michael Owen could be in Reading shirt you would have shat out your lungs in excitement!

Would be a good signing, and lets face it hes better than church.....i know which one id rather have wearing the number 18 (old school owen number)

While I think there may be positives to him joining he wouldn't be my first choice singning. He's had a few PL starts for united over the last three years and hasn't looked sensational and that's in a title winning side

I think he struggled to look sensational in such an outstanding group of players. Put him in the reading side which is plainly very average and he would help us out i believe

Possibly, my point was more that I assume that when he started it was likely to be against relegation candidate opponents and with United's service he still failed to score more goals than he did. I'm not sure we would be able to provide a better chance for him to score? although tbf teams do defend harder against United

If your username is a nod to Bas Savage then that says all that is needed on the value of your comments on attacking players.

But we pay Church in Wine Gums.

Michael Owen would cost a golden statue of himself clutching his heel, every week, to get injured by a change in wind direction.

Can we all just agree we don't want Michael Owen, his wages will be huge, spend more time on the fitness table than on the pitch. Better hungry/young players out there.

+1

Would even rather we keep Churchy than go for Owen. He WAS a great player but a huge risk now.

A fitness table is when you rank all of the hot women in your place of work according to a complex scoring system that assigns points to individual parts of her anatomy whilst completely ignoring anything about her personality.

+1 to the lolz

If he wants to come on a pay as you play deal and our medical team pass him fit (the same medical team that were prepared to nix the BWP deal...) then I'd be over the moon to see him here.

** BUMP ** Spotted at 1539 restaurant at Chester Racecourse today talking with his agent over a coffee. Tried to eavesdrop, but nothing doing. No sign of Hammond, and linked with a big money Middle East move in today's papers

I think he was unlucky in that his if he sustained his injury now he would probably have been able to play again.

Don't forget to add to any fee for Michael Owen the cost of installing a bath with a door on it.

If Michael Owen was a dog he'd be in the f/cking Thames. The difference between Michael Owen and Stephen Hawking is that Hawking is f/cking clever.
