It was a rumour that I heard from someone who is friends with someone important at the club. It is a rumour I have no fact to back it up and I was just seeing what everyone else's opinion of this rumour was.

I will ask him when I see him. Will also see if he had his wires crossed with Maynard. Then again he may be a liar but I felt it was worth putting out there what I had heard

Apparently beardy heart-throb Russell Crowe is pretty down to earth.

A striker who can't score, stepping on Pogs toes a bit if we bring Keane in...

the fact is anyone who commands any sort of fee this month will be out of our reach. we can assume that anyone with 6 months left on their contract and being told another contract will not be on offer could be a target. Warnock has picked up an injury and Derby are hesitant on a deal until they find out the extent of the injury, at this stage we do not need another player who will sit on the physio table longer than lacing up boots.

Wish we actually knew how much we had.

This excites me slightly, but we've heard it before. One week, we have our boss saying "there's money to be spent", next we have him saying "we have no money, FFP is rinsing us".

the press have mentioned St Ledger twice now in passing once on Charles Watts Wednesday chat and today in defenders reading should be looking at ( http://www.getreading.co.uk/sport/footb ... ld-8433072 ) do the press no something we don't know and has there been contact??? we don't really need another CB do we, I know he did play left pack a few times in his younger years but it has been a while??? :?:

I imagine that the St Ledger talk is purely speculation after he was released by Ipswich. We probably do need another CB as cover, depending on whether Ferdinand ever gets himself fit.

Signing priority is probably Striker (at least one), LB cover, CB cover. LB and CB cover can probably be picked up on frees and Striker may command a fee, depending on loan options (Murray, Keane, Maynard mostly likely based on current speculation).

Spanish twins Edu and Joan Oriol have left Blackpool after their contracts were mutually terminated.

The pair, 28, moved to Bloomfield Road during the summer but neither has played since November. Defender Joan Oriol made 12 appearances for the Seasiders while midfielder Edu Oriol turned out on 10 occasions.
