Hound Joao and Ejaria played in the previous game which was also a 'winning team'. So which one aren't we changing?

I personally would bring Joao right back in but not Ejaria.

Think you’re taking the cliche too literally!
It’s just a guideline
All things being equal you don’t change the team if you’ve won. But you still might bring someone back in if there’s an overwhelming case.
I don’t recall SSC changing the team much and that seemed to work (could be selective memory on my part)
Doesn’t mean he didn’t make the odd change here and there though.

yeah I am, but just saying its a little meaningless really. Obvs you're not going to make mass changes to a winning side, but if its playing a decent RB over an inexperienced CB playing at RB as we had no one else, its a simple choice
If Esteves is decent of course

Snowflake Royal I'd play Esteves immediately as long as he's had at least two or three days to train with us. RB's one of the simpler positions to play IMO.
Holmes did well, but didn't look a RB and there were some warning signs. Stick an arm round him, tell him he did good and definitely has a future here as a CB and I'd have no qualms about bringing him in to play if we're short at RB, but Esteves is a specialist.

Traditional full back may have been "simple" but the role is much more complex these days. There us a much greater expectation that the player can attack and defend almost equally well, timing and decision making massively important, get it wrong and the whole defensive shape is Fubared.

Nothing like adjusting to the game.... by watching it and not playing. Did you learn that on throughout all your Sunday league playing days?
Another cracker from you. Keep em coming, its entertaining.

Not necessarily disagreeing but some clearly thought he did really well and looked a RB, hence his (surprise) inclusion in the Championship Team of The Week.

Snowball Having said all that, if Esteves is ready he should come straight in. Not only is he
specialist FB but he's also very highly-rated.

May well be lacking match fitness. Also needs to settle in.

Think most roles have got more complex as things have got more fluid and pass focused.
Still think it's the simplest of all of them, and requires the least integration.

Think playing next to Morrison will be a huge benefit too, who seems to be a good communicator
Would be slightly more concerned if it was Moore and McIntyre for example, who are still two good centre backs but perhaps not so strong on the leadership front
