Joseph Akpala has returned to Werder Bremen after his trial at Reading. Reading HAVE, from a very trustworthy source, offered the striker a 3-year deal, and the striker has accepted the terms. The hold up however is Bremen wanting more than what Reading are prepared to offer.

Yes, we've been here before. Same story as last summer with Rhodes and Zaha, and that worked out well.

Is this a quote? If so, it's an interesting one. May I ask, what the source is? I mean, yours, not the mentioned trustworthy one.

http://www.readingrumours.co.uk not the most reliable of websites, although the rumour itself does sound likely.

Hehe. I like the concept, reminds me a little of Homer Simpsons Mr.X-Website. The rumour itself seems to be likely, you're right. Our new manager has, from his former job as ice-hockey-manager, the reputation of being an unpleasant negotiator. No big proof of that at the last Werder-Deals, yet, but we'll know more tomorrow, I guess.

Little update: Our manager said, that the Akpala-thing is not linked with the loan of our other striker. He's still allowed and able to change the club.

Good morning royals, are there any news from your side about Akpala? It's very calm at ours.

No, but we lost 6-0 on Tuesday and some are suggesting that Akpala disrupted the team causing a dressing room revolt against Nigel Adkins.

It's almost like Pepe wasn't being serious and every normal person would know he was making a joke.

On the plus side you might get AIDS and never need to develop a sense of humour.

Charles Watts wrote this one off on Twitter earlier.

He did seem to think that we'll be doing some business before the deadline, "Hammond will be a busy man".

Just sounds even more realistic now Charles Watts has confirmed Akpala will not be coming here. It's not like we haven't got form for sticking to our guns and valuing players less than they're worth.

Need striker.
Striker available.
Offer peanuts.
Loose striker.

You have to admit it's a cracking system.
