Forest fans are saying that BBC Nottingham is reporting that a deal has been done with Hull and Hobbs is definitely staying so this backs up the earlier post.

Looks like we are missing out on him sadly but not unsurprisingly.

Others seem to think he will sign a pre-contract and will join perm in the summer. Some also claim he had his hammy assessed today and refused to go back to Hull.. I can't see that myself, but the whole thing seems very odd tonight. I can't find an article anywhere but they're referring to local BBC.

Intriguing, isn't it? I think we would all be surprised if he signed for us. But the quotes from Bruce are interesting. The big story is that WE ARE BIDDING for players. If we don't get him so what! The important thing is that the new ownership goes through and they are not a bunch of cowboys! LOL

True but this has a bit of ambition and has been confirmed by another club BEFORE completion rather than RFC saying 'yeah...we bid on xxx...honestly'

However, bidding doesn't mean that the new owners aren't cowboys (they may infact own the cowboys). Even Anton gave us January money.

Despite what the desperate and hopeful NFFC are saying, Hobbs has not agreed anything. What they fail to realise is that there is no way Steve Bruce would allow Hobbs to sign a pre-contract and go for free in the summer. As it stands, RFC have placed the highest bid, Forest haven't matched it and unless they do so by Friday then he will go to the highest bidders.
