He does come over well on the interview, and likewise heartened by the fact that its definitely a Bowen signing

I agree.
If he plays like he did in that Cup tie that was on TV then fine but if he plays like the one who has only ever scored 6 first team goals in his career and was hardly ever selected for the 2 Championship clubs he was at (Brentford and Wigan) then we might be only seeing another Robert Codner.

On a more general point, the signings we make and the players we keep might give us an idea of whether the aim for 2020/21 is:
(1)Go for the top 6
(2)Aim to stay at the current level
(3)Hope we can avoid relegation.

The aim will be top 6, just as it will be at the start of every season. At least in the eyes of the owners.

    Top 6!!

That will be the owners aim, at least secretly, every season. They didn’t buy us to sit in the second division or worse.

yep, that^^.

In terms of any aim to 'finish top 6', I think such an aim needs to be contextualised a bit. It's more of an 'ambition'. Were it a concrete aim then frankly it would be met with an appropriate level of funds, funds that we know don't exist. We might hope to finish top 6 and make the playoffs, but we will hope to achieve that by buying players with little or no transfer fee, on relatively short contracts.

YouTube clip and all, but I love the welcome to RFC highlights someone has put up of his last season.

Quick, strong, direct, energetic, balanced, committed, tenacious, simple and effective.

Saw a few people calling him Ruben on his Instagram post, does seem stylistically like he's quite similar to Ruben Loftus Cheek. Strong on the ball, drives past people, keeps his passing fairly short and simple. Looking forward to seeing him and Rinomhota together.

Certainly going to take a weight off Rinomhota's shoulders. Now just another couple of further wide/midfield signings in a similar vein. Tempo is something we badly lack currently.

Good, low risk signing.

Seems a good fit and as has been said if Bowen has been heavily involved then that’s positive too.

Not heard of him or know whether he's good enough to make the step up, but would rather sign someone from the lower leagues who Bowen knows over some unknown from abroad with no experience of English football.

The biggest positive for me is that Bowen has wanted him for 6 months, good interview too.

Look at that smile. If he pulls that out in a match the opposition will fall in love.

Covid-wise do we know which players have had it?

I ask because I’m a long-hauler and still can’t exercise after six months

The two 17-year old asylum seekers who live with me seem fine but when they play football they need a break after 15 minutes.

They (and me) could play kick about for three hours last summer. In my case that was after a ten mile morning walk.

Now I couldn’t run a bath.

I haven’t heard of any pro players with Long-Covid but 10-15% of people who get 19 go on to be “sick” for many months
