rfcjoe Yeah I know. ( 5.5million + 4 million = no money available ) strange that.

Well...media centres are quite expensive you know.

Around £4m for Kitson (don't bank on Stoke staying up and making that £5.5m)

Paper talk at the moment regarding Shorey. No doubt an undisclosed amount in tomorrows local rag. (thought to be £3m)

But yes, a fraction of that money available. Great.

Bill Oddie's Beard
SpaghettiHoop Dean Lewington ? Just a guess.

MK Dons player of the season last year, but a bit too ginger for my liking...

That's like looking in a mirror.

Now, I watched the Australia game earlier and David Raymond 'Carnage' Carney is young, played in the Championship last season and looked pretty decent. Left wing or left back.

When Coppell says 'by the weekend' he means 'no new left back'

When Coppell says 'Hunt can play a left back' he means 'Hunt will be there for the season'

Y25 The problem is perhaps barring Marek any signing over £1.5M has been shit

Coppell likes a player less than 600,000k

Name a signing of around a million or more that has been a genuinely fantastic signing.

Jury still out on Marek but Convey and Lita struggled to make an impact on the first team, Cisse, Fae and Halford? :| Seol was as miss as hit.

My mate at the Mercury has nothing on us and Mattock yet. He's going to do some digging this afternoon, see what he kind muster though.

winchester_royal I reckon if we signed Gael Clichy, Royalee would still find something to moan about.

Mattock is an excellent prospect, and I for one would love to see him come to the club.

I hope we sign him so I can bring that comment back up in a few months when he's shown up for what he is - a left back with no brain who can't defend. We've already got one of those in Golbourne.

Who would you bring in then if everyone elses suggestions are so shite?

Gibbs at the moment, although I'm sure I'll come up with a few later when I'm home from work.

This is the same Kieran Gibbs who is actually classed as a midfielder (by Arsenal's own website) and has only ever made 7 league appearances whilst on loan at Norwich.

I was would rather we signed someone to left back who is actually a left back and who has a bit more experience under his belt. Mattock doesn't have much more but he has still played 4 times as many matches as Gibbs.

Anyway I can hardly wait for you to get searching on the web later to see what other names you can find

I still think there will be no new left back.

Murty when fit to return at right back and Rosenior will take the left back birth.

If we can have just under a million then - Carl Asaba

It is very unusual for the club to say they are looking for a player for a specific position and then to actually not sign one (although they did do it recently with the right wing slot although Kebe has done a decent job there in pre-season and we signed Noel Hunt who can slo play there).

I am 95% confident that we will have new left back by the end of August.

Same as, I actually smiled at work. Then I slapped the person sitting next to me when I realised it was a wind up, she's pregnant so it didn't go down very well.
